Standard Update: Hong Kong updates several standards for toys and children’s products, effective August 1, 2026

Keeping up with global safety standards is a full-time job for manufacturers and distributors. Hong Kong government announced significant updates to the Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance (Cap. 424), ensuring that products sold in the region meet the most rigorous international safety benchmarks.

On March 13,26 Hong Kong published the Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance ( Amendment of Schedules 1 & 2) Notice 2026, revising safety standards for toys and four categories of children’s products under the Ordinance.
